“Inventing Monsters” workshop

Let’s invent quirky beings—“our monsters.” We’ll do it as a group, working with large sheets of paper. We’ll explore “monsters,” those that have lived within us since we were very young… sometimes they make us laugh, sometimes they frighten us… Perhaps we can exorcise them by drawing them and watching them live and travel through one or two stories. We will investigate (a true fieldwork exercise) each of these beings and present them to the rest of the group.

Objectives

• Drive away fears.
• Present what has been created.
• Encourage the expression of feelings.
• Play with language.
• Play at mixing worlds: the visual with the verbal, the verbal with the gestural, the gestural with the visual…
• Open the door to creativity.
• Build confidence in one’s own creations.
