Poetry workshop for children

Poetry is a way of expressing emotions through words and rhythm. None of these elements—emotion, words, or rhythm—are foreign to the world of childhood; in fact, the earliest moments of life unfold within this poetic language. Children are born with an emotional connection to binary rhythm, the rhythm of the mother’s heartbeat. For them, poetry is something natural that, in many cases, is later lost—both the sense of rhythm and the ability to express our own feelings.
